Special PTO Thank You: We are so thankful for the continued support from our parents and families throughout all of our fundraisers this year. Because of your generosity and support, PTO has been able to support our students and staff in so many meaningful ways. Thank you for helping make Hiseville such a special place for our students and staff!

Tomorrow we finish up the Reading portion of KSA Testing with our 3rd and 6th grade. We are already so proud of the hard work of our students. Please do all you can to be at school so we can finish strong. We know several of our students are struggling with sickness and hoping they feel better soon. Please continue to wash hands, cover coughs, and don't drink after others. Keep flying strong Cardinals.

We had a great first day of testing. Students did a wonderful job giving there best in 4th and 5th grade. The rest of our students did a wonderful job respecting and supporting them. Tomorrow our 3rd and 6th grade take Reading Part A.

If you have a child at home this summer looking for something exciting and fun sign them up for Boys Soccer Camp. Boys and girls may attend.

Good afternoon Hiseville Elementary. This next week we will be KSA Testing. Monday is 4th and 5th grade testing reading part A, Tuesday is 3rd and 6th, Wednesday is Reading part B with 4th and 5th, Thursday is 3rd and 6th and Friday will be 4th and 5th taking Math. On Wednesday, 6th grade is going to Mammoth Cave. On Thursday night we will have PreK Graduation. This week is also Teacher Appreciation Week. Please let your child's teachers know how appreciated they truly are.

Hiseville Parents please remember that today is SBDM Parent Elections for the 26-27 school year. Please come to the office and see Mrs. Mary Shannon Coomer to fill out a ballot. Nominees are: Courtney Robertson, Lindsey Winchester, Lindsey Worley

2026-2027 Parent Nominees for Site-Based Decision Making: Courtney Robertson, Lindsey Winchester, Lindsey Worley. Voting will take place Friday May 1st from 6:55 until 2:30. Parents may come in to cast votes in the front office or in the car line. Voting will only take place one day.

Congratulations to Hiseville Robotics team students and coach. This crew was runner up in BC Elementary Vex competition this afternoon. Congratulations Riley Wilson, Isabella Dandurand, Sophia Warren, Jameson Robertson and Coach Sydne Medley. Great 6th grade crew who is going to do amazing things.

Hiseville SBDM parent nominations are open. If interested in being a part of our SBDM please nominate from email sent out yesterday or through an email to Jonathan.devore@barren.kyschools.us. You may also contact the school and speak to Mr. Jonathan DeVore (principal) or Mrs. Tamara Murrey (SBDM Chairperson).

We would love for you to be a part of our SBDM next year. Each year two parents are elected from a list of nominations to serve a one year term (can be repeated) as a parent representative on our School Based Descision Making team. Our SBDM will meet once a month and receive training on how to best serve our school during the summer. If you are interested or know someone who would be a great candidate in serving our school, please fill out the nomination form no later than Tuesday, April 28th at 5:00pm. We will have one week of Nominations then we will have one day of voting. Nominations can be submitted electronically or in person in writing delivered to Mr. DeVore (Principal). If you would like more information about this opportunity please reach out to our current SBDM members or Mr. DeVore. Our 2025-2026 Parent representatives are Lindsey Winchester and Aaron Bennett. If your child is playing any Middle School or High School sports next year you will need a KHSAA Sports Physical. If you will need a sports physical for Barren County Schools please be aware of this opportunity on June 1st at Barren County Trojan Academy.

Spring Fling is this afternoon, Thursday, April 16. Students will stay afterschool and begin dancing. Pickup for dance will be at the regular car rider line pickup at 3:45pm. If your child normally stays afterschool for BBB afterschool program they will transition at 3:45.

Just a reminder that the BETA club will be hosting a Spring Fling for Hiseville students tomorrow afternoon from the end of school until 3:45. Please see the flier for more details.
